We passionately recognise that everyone has the ability to contribute to the farm and wider community in their own individual way.

Activities that engage are always the most compelling

  • Animal Care

Our farm animals come in all shapes and sizes, each with a meaningful purpose of their own. Some are pets and others are here to supply meat and other products to the community.

The clients learn how to care for the animals to the highest standards.

We encourage everyone to recognise the positive impact that they can have on the well-being of all living creatures by learning to care for them and taking routine responsibility for their needs.

  • Horticulture

The growing of herbs, vegetables and flowers brings huge rewards when all of our hard work comes together in the harvest of beautiful produce.

With careful and patient care we learn that we can provide for ourselves; become more self-sufficient and learn the true value of sustainability.

We encourage and support those that want to use their new skills in their own garden or shared space

  • Rural Crafts

We believe that creativity and self-expression plays a huge part in enabling people to realise their individuality and potential.

Our craft activities and projects promote this expression, celebrate individuality and help us learn how to appreciate our creativity and that of others.

A handmade card or gift, whether taken home or given as a present to a loved one, never fails to lift spirits and spread goodwill. This in turn can have a hugely positive impact on a person's self-esteem.

  • Woodwork

Using tools to create beautiful wooden products requires self-awareness, patience and concentration.

We know that learning through completing practical tasks as independently as possible brings great personal rewards as well as a continued journey towards self-reliance.

Each associated skill can be practised over and over during the course of various projects. These experiences build a set of skills that can easily be

employed to help the farm or even enhance a

    home environment

  • Cooking

Using our farm produce to prepare and cook healthy food is the culmination of everybody’s efforts in caring for the land and the animals.

Eating together and sharing our food plays a huge part in bringing our community together; a time when we can reflect on our achievements and enjoy each others company. Learning how to confidently handle quality ingredients and cook simple meals is an invaluable life skill that can be practiced at home and other

    settings.

  • Environment and Wildlife

Our farm is home to a huge diversity of wildlife.

As we learn about the wildlife that shares the farm with us an appreciation grows about how our actions can directly benefit our environment.

The activities and projects are designed to raise awareness of how precious every living being is and to further enhance and protect vital habitats.

Together we explore how we are all part of the global community and we all have a responsibility to leave the world a better place by making choices that benefit everyone

  • Enterprise

It’s a special occasion when we take our produce to market. A time when our little community comes into the big wide world to show off our wares.

Some folk may be at the front of the stall, bartering and chatting to customers, others keeping a close eye on the pennies or keeping the stall looking fantastic.

Talking to new people, sharing our pride in what we have achieved and receiving recognition in the form of sales, support and encouragement are of huge value to our confidence and self-esteem.

Seeing something we have made being bought is almost priceless
